„Fancy Bears“ – is the name of the Russian hacking team that has raised many questions about the regularity of the World Anti-Doping Agency – WADA, after revealing some truly shocking information about the use of banned substances by many World popular athletes!!!
Namely, the hackers hacked the WADA website and stole a large database of confidential information about the doping tests of many athletes, mostly coming from the USA. Probably the biggest names on that list are the Williams sisters, Serena and Venus and the USA gymnast Simone Biles, who won 4 Gold medals in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the hackers, the WADA knew that these athletes were using banned substances but decided to cover up the results with legalized the use classifying it under the „therapeutically use exemption“ (TUE), allowing them to pass the doping tests, although the substances were listed on the WADAs „black list“.
The „Fancy Bears“ went a step further announcing #OpOlympics – the fight against all of the Olympic teams and athletes who used doping substances to enhance their performances and win medals. The Fancybear.net website has already published several list of athletes with full names and countries that they represent, who allegedly have been tested positive on banned substances, but were still allowed to perform during the Olympic Games.
The biggest name on the list is most certainly Serena Williams, the No. 1 on the WTA list, who apparently was tested positive on Oxycodone and Hydromorphone. In addition, she was using Prednisone, Prednisolone and Methylprednisolone, all of which are listed as illegal substances by WADA.
Simone Biles, the USA artistic gymnast has definitely set high standards for generations to come by winning 4 Gold medals at the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro. In august of 2016 she was tested positive for Methylphenidate, but also failed to pass the test on Amphetamine.
According to the „Fancy Bears“ website and the published documents, WADA has been covering the failed drug tests for the mentioned athletes, for years, as the Williams sisters were positive on the banned substances in 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015, while Simone Biles was first tested positive on banned substances back in 2013 and 2014.
Although it has not been officially confirmed that the hackers are from Russia, many reporters are debating that this „leak“ of confidential information was done by a Russian hacking team as a revenge for recent decision by the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to disqualify most of the Russian Olympic team from the Rio de Janeiro Olympics. As an additional penalty for the Russian Olympic Federation, the IOC has decided to disqualify the entire Russian Paralympic team from the Paralympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
According to the post on the www.fancybear.net website, the World can expect more documents with many popular athletes who failed the doping tests:
„This is just the tip of the iceberg. Today’s sport is truly contaminated while the world is unaware of a large number of American doping athletes.
We call on experts, officials and journalists to carefully review the files we have got.
To be continued….“
There is no doubt that these leaked documents will undermine the credibility of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
