The Knicks spilled a 14-point lead against the Cavaliers
The New York Knicks (13-49; 26-33-3 ATS) are coming off a 125-118 home loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers this past Thursday to put an end to their two-game winning streak. The Knicks had a 14-point lead with 11 and a half minutes left in the fourth quarter, but they allowed the Cavaliers to get back from the dead and score 40 points in the final period. New York has dropped its second game over the last five outings, and it seems like the Knicks will return to the losing path and continue buying the lottery picks. They will start a three-game journey at the west coast, visiting the Sacramento Kings in a back-to-back matchup Monday night.
Dennis Smith Jr. is leading the way for the Knicks, averaging 15.5 points and 6.6 assists per game while making 43.0% of his field goals. The rookie Kevin Knox is posting 12.5 points and 4.5 rebounds per game, while Emmanuel Mudiay is adding 14.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, and 3.8 assists per outing. They are allowing 113.5 points in a return (27th) on 47.0% shooting from the field (24th) and 35.9% from downtown (20th).
The Clippers are looking for their third straight win at home
The Los Angeles Clippers (35-29; 36-28 ATS) are coming off a very important 116-109 victory at the Sacramento Kings this past Friday, as they are now three games ahead of the Kings at the 9th spot of the Western Conference table. The Clippers allowed 62 points in the paint and 27 assists to their rivals, but they won the battle on the glass, posting 16 offensive rebounds. Also, the Clippers’ offense was excellent in the second half, dropping 64 points on the Kings. The Clippers are 4-2 straight up and 5-1 ATS in their last six outings and will stay in LA after the clash with the Knicks to lock horns with the Lakers Monday night.
Danilo Gallinari is leading the way for the Clippers, averaging 18.8 points and 5.9 rebounds while making 44.5% of his field goals and 42.5% of his 3-pointers. Lou Williams is tallying 19.8 points and 5.4 assists per game while hitting 42.0% of his field goals coming off the bench. The Clippers are scoring 111.4 points per 100 possessions (12th in the league) on 46.7% shooting from the field (11th) and 37.9% from beyond the arc (3rd), surrendering 111.2 points in a return (19th) on 45.5% shooting from the field (12th) and 34.0% from downtown (4th).

- Under is 12-5 in the last 17 games overall
Los Angeles Clippers:

The Winner Prediction
After winning three of their last five games, the Knicks have to relax a bit if they want that first overall pick at the 2019 NBA Draft. On the other side, the Clippers are obviously keen to make it to the postseason, so I’m backing them to win and cover, considering how well they are playing when listed as massive favorites. Also, they’ve been pretty successful against the Knicks lately.
The Pick: Los Angeles Clippers -10.0 (-110)
